This division carries out research related to advanced technology of highly effective utilization of five kinds of energy: fossil fuel energy, nuclear energy, hydrogen energy, biomass energy, and micro-energy. Fossil fuel energy and nuclear energy will be the prominent forms of energy in the 21st century, hydrogen energy is expected to arrive in the near future, and biomass energy will probably be an effective form of renewable energy.
